Beatton River Assaults
The Fort St. John Drug Section and Serious Crime Section continue to investigate the assaults that occurred on July 25 at the Beatton River.
Jordan Anthony Ramos remains in custody in relation to the assaults until his next court appearance on Aug. 25. Ramos is charged with a total of nine offences including four counts of assault with a weapon, one count of assault, one count of robbery, two counts of possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose and one count of possessing a firearm while prohibited.
Police are still gathering evidence and expect several more charges to be laid in this incident.
Assault at Loony Tunes
The Fort St. John Serious Crime Section continues to investigate the assault that took place at Loony Tunes nightclub the morning of Aug. 5. Jonathan Rae Honeywell was charged with two counts of assault and one count of aggravated assault related to the attack and remains in custody. Honeywell’s next court appearance is scheduled for Sept.1.
Police continue to interview people who were present at Looney Tunes when the assault took place. The Serious Crime Section requests that anyone who has not already spoken to police to contact the Fort St. John RCMP at 250-787-8140 and ask to speak to a member of the Serious Crime Section.
Another Assault at Looney Tunes
Another man was attacked at Looney Tunes nightclub last week.
On Aug. 20, Fort St. John RCMP received a complaint for BC Ambulance of an injured male in the Looney Tunes parking lot.
Upon investigation, police discovered that an unidentified male had punched the victim from behind before leaving the scene.
Paramedics transported the injured male to Fort St. John Hospital and Health Centre where he was released after being treated for a minor concussion and a laceration on his head.
The suspect was observed on a surveillance video and is described as a large First Nations male in his early 30s, wearing a black hat with black framed glasses. At this time police have no suspects and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect.
One Man Found, Another Missing
The Fort St. John RCMP have located Edward Alexander Jack and he is fine.
His family reported him missing after not hearing from him for several days. Police wish to thank the public for their assistance in locating Jack.
Meanwhile, another man has been reported missing. Kyle Martin was last seen by a family member around 4 p.m. on Aug 20 at the Marquis Centre at 10304 99th Avenue. He has not been seen or heard from since.
Martin is 34 years old and is described as having blue eyes, brown hair, 5’11” and weighing about 190 lbs. Martin has a tattoo of an upside down cross on his upper left arm, the female symbol on his upper right arm and a scar on his upper lip. He was last seen wearing a white Bear radio station t-shirt, blue jeans and a black baseball cap.
