Fort St. John RCMP are seeking the public’s help in locating a suspect involved in a shooting on the weekend.

On Feb. 24 at approximately 9 p.m., Fort St. John RCMP received a report that an unknown male had entered a residence about 30 minutes north of Fort St. John and shot the man that lived there.

The unknown assailant left the area in a dark-coloured vehicle in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, approximately 5'8" and approximately 170 - 180 lbs.

The victim was transported to Fort St. John Hospital where he underwent surgery to remove a bullet from his abdomen. He is expected to make a full recovery.

The Fort St. John General Investigative Section continues to investigate the incident.
