'MiB3' is in the black with $69.3M debut weekend; 'Avengers' adds $47.2M

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones' "Men in Black 3" has taken over the No. 1 spot at the weekend box office with a $69.3 million debut over the four-day Memorial Day weekend.

The superhero blockbuster "The Avengers" took in $47.2 million and slipped to second-place after three weekends on top.

The top 20 movies at U.S. and Canadian theatres Friday through Monday, followed by distribution studio, gross, number of theatre locations, average receipts per location, total gross and number of weeks in release, as compiled Tuesday by are:
