Slam poet champ Brendan McLeod performs in Fort St. John tonight

Canadian poetry SLAM champ Brendan McLeod is in Fort St. John for a hilarious, heartbreaking monologue about consciousness, mental illness, and friendship.

“Brain” maps McLeod's experiences with obsessive compulsive disorder – from a teenager struggling to understand his obsessions to an adult battling psychosis. A nuanced journey through the nature of thought, “Brain” is his an upbeat, intense comedy about the miracle of the mind.

The show was winner of the Pick of the Fringe in the 2015 Vancouver Fringe, and McLeod was named the Best Male Performer in the 2015 Victoria Fringe.

McLeod dropped by North Peace Secondary on Thursday to perform for students.

He performs tonight in Fort St. John at the North Peace Cultural Centre at 7:30 p.m.
