From Agrabah and now to Neverland, students at Ecole Central continue their theatrical journey through fairy tale lore.
Students have less than a month before the curtains rise on Peter Pan Jr., a modern musical theatre update on the classic Disney film and original stage play by playwright J. M. Barrie.
From the synopsis, "Wendy Darling loves to tell stories to her brothers, Michael and John. But when her father announces she must move out of the nursery, Peter Pan comes to visit the children and whisks them away to Neverland.
"Their journey introduces them to the Lost Boys, Mermaids, Indians and even the infamous pirate, Captain Hook! It’s Peter to the rescue when Wendy is taken captive by the dreaded captain, who has his own sinister plans in mind for our hero."
This is the third year the arts-focused school has worked to put on a school-wide production. They did a great job on Aladdin last year.
Peter Pan Jr. runs March 6 and 7 starting at the cultural centre. The school will be holding a silent auction on performance nights to help pay for the cost of the production.
Check the centre's website for more details, including times and ticket information.
In the meantime, Ecole Central has shared these photos of students full swing into rehearals and set prep.
