Charlie Lake cleanup June 1 to 14

This year's Charlie Lake cleanup will take place over two weeks June 1 to 14. The Charlie Lake Conservation Society says this year's event will be extended from the usual single day cleanup due to coronavirus concerns.

This year's Charlie Lake cleanup will take place over two weeks June 1 to 14.

The Charlie Lake Conservation Society says this year's event will be extended from the usual single day cleanup due to coronavirus concerns.

Husky will be providing a dumpster bin, and the North Peace landfill will also be providing free dumping during the cleanup period for Charlie Lake residents.

Physical distancing and general hygiene practices are highly recommended. Volunteers are encourage send in their photos in to the Conservation Society.

The lake cleanup will take place during a region-wide spring cleanup throughout the regional district.

Tipping fees will be waived for sorted and self-hauled waste, and some transfer stations and landfills will have extended hours between June 1 to 14.

The Bessborough landfill will be open 7 days a week for the two week period from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Rural transfer stations will also be opened 7 days a week. Click here to check for hours.

Residents are asked to practice social distancing while at the landfills and transfer stations.
