Canfor says it will curtail operations at its B.C. sawmills this holiday season.
All sawmills except for WynnWood will be curtailed for two weeks from Dec. 23 to Jan. 3, with operations to resume Jan. 6, the company said Monday. The WynnWood sawmill will be curtailed for five days.
Canfor cited high fibre costs and weak lumber markets for the decision.
The curtailment will reduce production by almost 58 million board feet, the company said.
