A pair of financial literacy workshops this month will teach residents make good decisions with their money.
Two basic budgeting classes will be held on Wednesday, August 14, for men, and on Thursday, August 22, for women.
The free workshops will explain what a budget is and why we should all have one, dispense tips on how to reach financial goals, and share ideas about how to adjust spending habits.
"The sole goal is to empower individuals to make the right financial decisions for themselves," organizers say.
The workshops are being held at the Healing Place at 10045 100 Avenue, next door to the Women's Resource Society.
