Nine buildings in Fort St. John and Prophet River have been nominated for recognition at the Northern BC Commercial Building Awards.
A total of 26 buildings were named finalists for the fifth annual awards, put on by Business Examiner to celebrate the best in commercial and industrial construction in the north.
The eight buildings in Fort St. John that were nominated include the new BCGEU building, the Birch Tree Building, Olios Pizzeria, Cambridge Estates, Cornerstone Townhouses, Fort St. John Plaza, Greenview Townhomes, and the Hudson Condos.
The new Prophet River First Nation School was also nominated.
Six other buildings south of the Peace River were also nominated.
In Dawson Creek, that includes the Gateway Industrial Park, North Peace Savings & Credit Union, and Ron Pettigrew Christian School.
In Chetwynd, building nominations include AIM Trucking Warehouse, the HUB Insurance/North Access Revitalization Project, and Lake View Credit Union.
The award winners will be announced at a gala on March 8 at the Ramada Hotel in Prince George. For more information, click here.
