"Changing our name from Progress Energy to Petronas Canada is a reflection of our parent company’s commitment to Canada," said Mark Fitzgerald, president and CEO.

"I am extremely proud to be part of this global company and am excited about the great future ahead as we drive innovations to provide clean Canadian energy to the world."

Fitzgerald will be in Fort St. John on Tuesday, Nov. 27, to talk about the company's development plans for the region.

The event is being organized by the Fort St. John & District Chamber of Commerce and is free to attend. To register click here.
