COVID-19 cases in Northeast B.C. continue to trend downward, with 102 cases reported in the region last week.
Between Nov. 21 to 27, there were 58 cases in the North Peace, 38 in the South Peace, and 6 in Fort Nelson, according to the latest data from the BCCDC.

First dose vaccination rates in Fort St. John hit the 80% mark as of Nov. 30, while second dose rates moved up to 72% from the previous week. A total of 138 first doses and 280 second doses were given since the last report on Nov. 23.
Sixty per cent of Fort St. John youth age 12 to 17 have been immunized with one dose of vaccine; 52% have received a second dose.
First dose immunizations in the rural North Peace are at 55%, while second dose immunizations are at 50%.
Northern Health is continuing to monitor a viral outbreak at the Meadow House at the Peace Villa care home in Fort St. John, where one resident recently died.

Across Northern B.C., there were 38 people hospitalized with COVID-19 in the Northern Health region as of Wednesday, including eight in critical care.
Drop-in vaccination clinics continue for all ages at the Fort St. John public health unit Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
