Doctors and nurses at Richmond Hospital are among the many healthcare workers in B.C. and Canada celebrated each night during the 7 p.m. salute.
In a video submitted to the Richmond News, Richmond Mounties in red serge salute the health care workers outside Richmond Hospital, as the Canadian anthem plays.
Once the anthem ends, RCMP and Richmond Fire-Rescue vehicles, which line the block outside the hospital, sound their sirens to celebrate those on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The healthcare workers at Richmond Hospital also hold signs – and the Canadian flag – celebrating those working in the ER and thanking the community for their support.
Richmond RCMP also posted two videos on Twitter Thursday, which appear to have been taken the same night, of their nightly salute.
“We salute you. #RichmondRCMP stand by our #HealthcareHeroes 24/7,” reads one post.
