Chetwynd's International Chainsaw Championships carve into the weekend

The wood will be hard, and the cuts fine this weekend in Chetwynd for the International Chainsaw Carving Championships.

Running from June 8 to 11, the action goes each day starting at 8am. A quick carve event goes Sunday at 3pm to wrap the 20203 event, with an auction and awards to follow.

The Championship has 12 competitors from around the world and Canada in the Peace cutting up for the 2023 title.

Ryan Villiers, Liam Tromans, Rob Milner, Shea Larking will represent Canada, while Abby Peterson, Ryan Anderson, Alex Pricob and Chris Foltz will be representing the USA. From around the world it will be Takao Hayashi, Sam Bowsher, Brandon Kroon, and Mike Jones.
