If you haven’t heard - the Mile Zero business event of the summer has already been announced.

The DC and District Chamber of Commerce's 2023 AGM goes June 4, 5pm at the DC Golf Course. Chamber ED Duncan Malkinson says the business of the day includes Financial Statements for the year, a report on 2022 for members, and of course to conduct the election and swearing in of new members. The organization is looking for new members as directors on their board.

“It is an opportunity to be involved and see what we are up to, and increase the board representation in the membership,” he says.

“We’ve got some great initiatives this year – and we’d like to hear members thoughts on direction, and strengthening the economy of the South Peace.”

The organization has found recent success in their Tuesday After 5 Business Mixer meetings, and is prepping a tourism in own town project with DC tourism for both residents and visiting tourists alike this summer. This week’s focus is the annual general meeting however.

“This is an important event for the Chamber as it provides an opportunity for you to review the Chamber and to learn more about our activities over the past year. This is also an opportunity for you to network and engage with other business leaders in our community."
