Think of it as an investment in the future.

Lake View Credit Union is dropping five, $1,000 bursaries to graduating students throughout the Peace.

The bursaries are being provided through its annual bursary program, an annual initiative that offers graduating students of LVCU who will be attending post-secondary school an opportunity to receive $1,000 to help offset the costs of continuing education.

Graduating students receiving bursaries for 2023 are:

  • Olivia Proulx – Dawson Creek Secondary
  • Ayasha Karcher – Chetwynd Secondary
  • Ronan Deeley – Tumbler Ridge Secondary
  • Jarvis Dueck – Dawson Creek Secondary
  • Denise Real – Tumbler Ridge Secondary

“There is considerable need for student financial support in this region. We see so many passionate, conscientious young people primed to do great things, and as an organization, we want to do our part to make sure they succeed,” stated Lori Archibald, CEO in a statement Monday.

“In addition to our other initiatives around financial literacy and facilitating applications for available government funding, the bursary program allows us to make a difference in the lives of our youngest members and help ensure they can go as far as their considerable talents will take them.”
