The City of Dawson Creek has partnered with community organizations to provide cool spaces and free water for Thursday, July 28.
These locations are the Obair Economic Society (8:30am – 3:30pm), and Nawican Bergeron Youth and Cultural Centre (Noon to 6pm)
The City has noted a trio of public places for cooling down and water - Mile 0 Park Splash Park (10:30am – 8pm), the Wayne and Bev Dahlen Walking Track (9am - 6pm) and the Dawson Creek Public Library from 9:30am to 7pm.
Pouce Coupe officials note the Village office will be open Thursday for residents to cool down and take water break. There will also be water for pets.
In Chetwynd - the Recreation Centre is cooling down Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 9:30pm and Saturday/Sunday from 10am to 5:30pm. The public library is also open Thursday through Saturday, and closed on Sunday.
Beat the heat in Tumbler Ridge in Room 4 of the Community Centre from noon to 6pm.
