Would you like to meet Miss Rodeo Canada? Next week brings a pair of chances to catch up with her in Mile Zero.

A meet and greet with Miss Rodeo Canada 2023 Mackenzie Skeels goes from 6:00-6:30pm both Friday & Saturday in the upper lobby of the Ovintiv Events Centre. Skeels was crowned Miss Rodeo Canada 2023 at the Canadian Finals Rodeo in November 2022.

Mackenzie is part of a fourth generation ranching family. She grew up on the family ranch, Anchor D Simmentals, just outside of Rimbey, AB. Her first cow was given to her as a young girl, and from there she has bought, traded and raised cattle expanding her herd to 35 head.

Skeels will be on hand for the the 2023 Spring Break Up Rodeo & Dance - set to take over the Ovintiv Events Centre April 21 and 22.

Some of the top pro competitors in be in Dawson Creek for the dual-sanctioned CPRA/PRCA event. Nine events -Saddle Bronc, Bareback, Bull Riding, Junior Steer Riders, Barrel Racing, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Tie Down Roping & Breakaway Roping, with bucking stock being provided by the famous Calgary Stampede Ranch.
