July Long weekend saw the Raiders Basketball Club from Mile Zero have a huge weekend of success at the Great Canadian Shootout Tournament in Edmonton.
“We sent three teams, U13 Boys, U15 Boys and a High School Girls team,” said team officials to the Mirror. U13 Boys went 2-3 to place 6th in the Silver Division, U15 Boys went 2-2 to place 6th out of 23 teams in the Bronze Division & HS Girls won gold in the Bronze Division.
“All our teams came a long way this season and e are looking forward to next year.”
The Raiders’ U15 boys coach is running a summer league this year to keep the team active during the summer holidays.
