RCMP bust brings in meth, coke, weapons

A Grimshaw bust has netted meth, fentanyl, coke, a semi-automatic rifle, knives, a crossbow and more.

It was a hot Friday night on Oct. 21 as members of the Peace Regional RCMP with the assistance of their Emergency Response Team and Police Dog Service executed a search warrant at a Grimshaw home.

A search of the location was completed, resulting in the seizure of 80 grams of methamphetamine, various amounts of fentanyl and cocaine, an SKS semi-automatic rifle, conducted energy weapon and various edged weapons.

The trio of Clifford William Carifelle (33), and Cheyanne Geissler (21), of Grimshaw, and Jordin Dwyer (27) of Berwyn, have been charged with: possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of a firearm without holding a license, and careless storage of a firearm.

Carifelle is also charged with possession of a firearm, ammunition, and crossbow while prohibited, and failing to comply with release order. He remains in custody pending a bail hearing, next scheduled to appear in Peace River Court on Oct. 31, 2022. Geissler and Dwyer have been released and are scheduled to appear on Oct. 31, 2022.
