A free session for educators and parents in helping support children with anxiety.
“We tend to have a lot more patience and empathy for children when they appear upset or afraid,” says Patti McDougall.
“It can be a bit more challenging when the child appears angry or aggressive, and this child is likely just as scared as the one is crying.”
McDougall will present on how children display their anxiety and different way and how education can find ways to meet them and find solutions that work in the classroom and more.
The session goes Sept. 20 at the spccrs office. For more information call at 250-782-1138 ext. 221
