Telus says it will be expanding its 5G network to Fort St. John by the end of the 2021.
The company this week announced $54 billion to expand its infrastructure and operations across the country.
Telus says its network provides speeds up to 1.7 Gbps, and will expanding to 529 communities in Canada, including 187 communities in B.C.
“The significant investments we are making in our world-leading networks to rapidly expand our 5G footprint and PureFibre infrastructure are enabling us to connect more Canadians to the people, resources, and critical information they need as we continue to navigate the global pandemic,” said Telus President and CEO Darren Entwistle.
Rogers is also expanding its 5G network in Western Canada, including in Dawson Creek.
