Angels push Hospital Foundation campaign past $250,000 goal

Students at Margaret ‘Ma’ Murray Community School hosted a bake sale and raised $578 for the 2021 Be an Angel campaign.

The Fort St. John Hospital Foundation’s 24th annual Be an Angel Campaign has come to a close, and with over 600 private and corporate donations, the Foundation was able to surpass its $250,000 goal!

The Foundation is so grateful to the entire community of Fort St. John, from the youngest donors who took $1.50 from their piggy banks to donate during Light-A-Moose, to its two corporate matching partners, NorthRiver Midstream, and Mustang Rentals, who each donated $20,000. Every donation has made a difference in this campaign.

“The Foundation would like to thank all our Be an Angel donors. Your continued support enables the Foundation to do what we do best, enhance patient comfort and care at the Hospital and Peace Villa Residential Care Facility," said Executive Director Kelly Amboe.

Multiple third-party events also took place around the city in support of the Foundation’s Be an Angel Campaign. Margaret ‘Ma’ Murray Community School hosted a bake sale and was able to raise $578, and Home Hardware hosted their own campaign, raising and donating $1000.

Funds raised from the Be an Angel Campaign go towards a new Comprehensive Patient Monitoring System for the In Patient unit and Emergency Room at the Fort St. John Hospital.
