Nearly 20 years of historical newspapers have now been digitally archived

Fort St. John Museum Curator Heather Sjoblom with one of the many thousands of historical Alaska Highway News pages in the museum’s trusted care. Sjoblom says nearly 20 years of the newspaper has now been archived by volunteers.

More than 60 hours went into scanning, cataloguing, and identifying photographs and negatives at the Museum in March, and another 70 hours went into scanning and indexing the Alaska Highway News.
