City firefighters recognized

Five Fort St. John firefighters have been recognized for their exemplary and longstanding service to the city.

Deputy Chief Daniel Simpson and Capt. Brent Morgan both received their Governor General’s Fire Services Exemplary Service Medal, which honours Canadian firefighters who have completed 20 years of service, and have shown exemplary service through good conduct, efficiency, and industry. Both have served 20 years with the City of Fort St. John.

Capt. Marco D'Agostino received the British Columbia Long Service Award for 25 years of service, and 20 years of service with the city.

Lt. Alyn Stobbe was recognized for his 10 years of service with the city, while Fire Chief Darrell Blades was recognized for his five years of service.
