Two public washrooms have been placed outside of the North Peace Cultural Centre as part the city's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

With sweeping closures across the city, many residents out and about are out of luck when nature calls. The stalls are a temporary solution to make washroom facilities available to those wandering in the downtown core.

With good weather and warmer temperatures expected for the rest of the week, the city is seeing higher levels of foot traffic in parks, trails, and the downtown core.

A handwashing station was also installed adjacent to the stalls. The city has also promised that the washrooms will be cleaned on a regular basis in compliance with the provincial health guidelines.
