Both the City of Fort St John and NPCS agree.

The  City of Fort St. John city council and the North Peace Cultural Society's board of directors have agreed to a new Cultural Services Agreement and lease for the North Peace Cultural Centre.

Following the framework and guidance laid out by the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed last year, we are thrilled to announce that a new Cultural Services Agreement and lease of the North Peace Cultural Centre has been solidified between the City and the North Peace Cultural Society, said Fort St. John Mayor Lilia Hansen, and Board Chair Connie Surerus in a joint statement.

The City and the North Peace Cultural Society have collaborated on many cultural events and are continually working to meet the needs of the arts and culture community. Significant efforts have been made to involve representatives from all arts groups, and these efforts have proven effective and will continue as we move forward.

Both sides agreed that the Cultural Services Agreement's terms have been reached through consensus and mutually benefit both parties and the community.

"We are committed to delivering high-quality arts and cultural services and maintaining open and honest communication to ensure the ongoing success of our partnership long term.”
