Enbridge recently made a donation of $10,000 to the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation's COVID-19 Greatest Need Campaign.
“Our doctors, nurses, and front-line staff are working tirelessly every day to keep our community safe during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Michaela Bjorseth, engagement manager for Enbridge. “We are happy to support the Fort St. John Hospital Foundation provide the care and services patients in our community need. Enbridge is committed to the safety and vitality of our communities as we work together to help our neighbours and the most vulnerable recover from this crisis.”
The Hospital Foundation launched the fund at the end March, when the hospital was designated a primary COVID-19 site for the northeast.
Since then, contributions to the fund have helped to purchase a Lifepak Cardiac Defibrillator, a Broncho Glidescope, Alaris Pumps and Modules, a Blood Bank Refrigerator, a Blood Bank Ice Pack Freezer, and facemasks for Peace Villa.
“We all appreciate how much our government and Health Authority are doing to support our healthcare through this challenging time," said Executive Director Niki Hedges. "It is at times like these that corporate philanthropy has been more important than ever in helping the Foundation with our local efforts in augmenting the purchase of additional COVID-19 equipment for the Fort St. John Hospital and Peace Villa facility."
