Fort St. John RCMP investigate report of violent assault

Fort St. John RCMP are investigating a report of a violent assault with weapons at an apartment block Sunday afternoon.

Officers were called to the 8700 block of 86 Street around 2 p.m., and set up a containment zone as a precaution, RCMP said in a release.

The initial investigation determined there was no evidence of an assault at that location, RCMP said. The investigation continues.

Anyone with information is asked to call the RCMP at 250-787-8100.
