Groundbreaking date for new Chetwynd Library is set

The first step to Chetwynd’s new library and more will be see spades in the ground June 3.

The location is west of the skatepark at the North Access Road.

The PRRD, in partnership with the District of Chetwynd, Library Advisory committee, and Chetwynd Library Association are all in on the planning of the project and are excited for it to kick off.

“This will be a time to commemorate the life of Yvonne Eldon, a lifelong learner and supporter of the Chetwynd Library,” say organizers.

The groundbreaking goes at 3pm, June 3.
