High On Ice winter festival preparations underway

Preparations are underway in Centennial Park for the 2019 High On Ice Winter Festival, the city says.

The city is asking residents to stay out of park and off the ice slides under construction until opening ceremonies Friday, February 15. The ice slides will open at 4 p.m. on that day.

The main parking lot access to the pool off 100 Street is blocked and will be closed throughout the weekend, the city says. Visitors to the pool are asked to use the back access of 96 Street, or park behind the curling club or Pomeroy Sport Centre.

The festival runs from February 15 to 18.
