There are plenty of opportunities to honour Canada's veterans in the North Peace on Nov. 11. Here is where you can take part:
Fort St. John
Parade begins at the Legion at 10 a.m., and will travel from the cenotaph south down 102 Street, west on 105 Avenue, up 100 Street and circling city hall before returning to the Legion, where a service will begin at 11 a.m.
There will be a chili lunch at noon, followed by an afternoon of entertainment. Turkey dinner starts at 5 p.m. Call the Legion at 250-785-3917 for pricing information.
Parade musters at the Taylor Arena at 10 a.m. before marching to the community hall, where service starts at 10:30.
A ceremony at the cenotaph outside the district office will begin at 10:45 a.m. before moving into the community hall for refreshments.
A Veteran's Dinner will be held at 6 p.m. at the community hall. If you are a veteran and you are not sure if you are on the invitation list, contact the district at 250-783-9901.
Ceremonies will begin at 10:45 a.m. in the community hall at the rec centre. Doors open at 10:15.
