On Wednesday Fort St John RCMP requested the assistance of the public in locating a man reported missing by his family after going to go buy cigarettes and failing to return.

RCMP have received information of a sighting of the man which led to the RCMP being able to locate him and confirm his well being. The family has been updated and RCMP wish to thank the media and the public for their assistance in this matter.

Local RCMP received a report from family - Todd Michael Long is missing.

The last time Long was seen was June 4, when he left his friend’s house on the 9100 block of 101st Ave in Fort St John, to get cigarettes.

Long maintains a residence in Chetwynd and may have travelled in that direction although he does not own a vehicle and has yet to be seen at this residence.

Long is described as:

  • Caucasian male,
  • 5’10 (178 cm) tall,
  • 221 lbs (100 kgs),
  • Short black hair,
  • Blue eyes,
  • Greying brown beard,
  • Tattoo: Right wrist the letters AL,
  • Tattoo: Left wrist the letters TL.

 

According to officials, Long takes regular medication that he has missed and there is concern for his safety and wellbeing as he lives a high-risk lifestyle.

The Fort St John RCMP continue to investigate and are currently requesting the public’s assistance in finding Long. Anyone with additional information regarding Long, please contact the Fort St John RCMP at 250-787-8100.
