McHappy Day raises $9,176 for charity

Child Development Centre and Ronald McDonald House will share the funds

McHappy Day raised $9.176.82 this year for the Fort St. John Child Development Centre and Ronald McDonald House BC and Yukon.

Brian Boresky, owner of McDonald's Fort St. John and Dawson Creek, took the time for small photo op at their play place today to celebrate the fundraiser. The funds will be split between the two worthy organizations.

"They're both great charities and they complement one another," Boresky said.

It’s the 28th time the event has been hosted, with the funds being used to support programs at the CDC and help residents who need to travel outside the region for intensive medical care, a stress for both children and families.
