One person is recovering in hospital after a single-vehicle accident in Fort St. John Thursday afternoon.
Police were called to the 7000 block of 100th Avenue where a westbound truck had veered off the road and into the ditch.
Bystanders "acted quickly" to check on the driver, remove them from the truck, and provide first aid, police say. They were taken to the hospital where "ongoing care is being provided."
"Alcohol, drugs and speed are not believed to be contributing factors in this collision," Cst. Nancy Saggar said.
"It is believed the driver was experiencing a medical emergency."
The police thank the bystanders for their assistance.
