Fort St. John MNP employees presented the Salvation Army with a cheque for $2,000 today, directing the funds reserved for their 2020 Christmas party to a charitable donation instead.
"It shows a very generous spirit of the team here, all the hard work, they deserve to have a good Christmas celebration, and instead returning it to the community and supporting us really shows it’s a company that thinks of more than just themselves," said Salvation Army Executive Director Jared Braun.
MNP Partners Gavin Still and Julie Ziebart said they decided to use the money to help people that have been hurt by the pandemic.
"Since Covid was affecting everybody and charities as well, we decided to put that money toward a good cause," Still said.
"We selected the Salvation Army because we know that in this time, during this pandemic especially, that all the support they can muster up in our community is going to be spread to the ones who need it most," added Ziebart.
