Jim and Margaret Little drop off copies of the 2021 Community Health Guide to the Alaska Highway News office, April 7, 2021.

An invaluable booklet of community health information and resources is now available for residents.

The 2021 Community Health Guide was put together in partnership between Save Our Northern Seniors and the North East Native Advancing Society, and is a guide to health resources in northeast B.C.

The 48-page guide includes listings for everything from alcohol and drug referrals and advocacy and legal groups, to city and First Nation services, local non-profits, as well as services and supports for COVID-19.

“As with any project, there will always be changes – additions and deletions,” said SONS President Margaret Little.

“This Guide provides many of the services available in our community of Peace River North as well as provincial and federal agencies.”

The guide was put together with the financial support and help of the Hospital Employees’ Union, the Government of Canada, Frontier Law, Mackeno Ventures, Northern Health, and Asuncion Sta. Maria.

Copies are available at the Fort St. John Museum, the Fort St. John Public Library, the Alaska Highway News, and through NENAS.
