The Association for Community Living is encouraging residents to do good deeds and promote community spirit this Friday.
It's part of Pay It Forward Day on June 14, which the association says is a chance for it to carry the momentum from its supporters out into the community, and to inspire other acts of kindness.
"It is hoped that together we can make a positive changes locally and in the world one good deed at a time," the association said in a news release.
"Each act can be as simple as opening a door for someone, paying for someone’s coffee, putting money in a parking meter or helping to raise money for a cause. The acts can be planned or totally random."
The association started a Pay It Forward Day locally in 2009.
