Poker Ride postponed to Aug. 24

The annual ride was set to take place this weekend, with regional visitor centres playing host to motorcylists as they do a loop around the Peace region to raise funds for charity.

Riders collect a card for a poker hand at each stop, with half the money raised going to charity, and the other half going to the riders with the best hands.

The event will run Aug. 24. There will be a free breakfast for Fort St. John riders at the Visitor Centre site at 9324 96 Street, starting at 7:30 a.m.

The event starts at 9 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m. Those wanting to register can call their respective visitor centre.
