Fort St. John RCMP are on the lookout for a suspect who shot an electronic road sign on the Alaska Highway.
The sign, located at Mile 80, informs drivers of road conditions on the northbound route. Sometime between Dec. 31 and Jan. 4, it was shot several times, and sustained around $6,000 in damage.
"Fort St. John RCMP are concerned not only over the unsafe discharge of a firearm near a highway, but also that motorists could not be updated with road conditions on a sometimes treacherous highway," an RCMP spokesperson wrote in a release.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers or the Fort S. John RCMP detachment.
