RCMP investigate shots fired in Fort St. John

Fort St John RCMP are investigating shots fired in the early morning, in the area of 104A Avenue and 112th Street.

At 5:52am, May 30, RCMP received a report of shots fired, with frontline police officers attending the scene locating shell casings in the area.

There are no reports of anybody sustaining any injuries currently and the Fort St John RCMP have already detained numerous persons of interest.

"The Fort St John RCMP takes threats of gun violence very seriously and the investigation will be ongoing," said Constable Chad Neustaeter. 

"If anyone saw anything, has surveillance or dash cam video of the incident and has not yet spoken to police, please call us."
