The Peace River Region District has reduced the Evacuation orders and alerts for the Red Creek and the Stoddart Creek wildfires.
Part of the change meant the following communities that were under an Evacuation Order are now under Evacuation alert:
- North Pine
- Pineview
- Northern sections of Charlie Lake (north of Highway 29 and 246 Road)
These are the communities that are still under the Evacuation Order #3
- Rose Prairie
- Montney, Buick
- Coffee Creek
- Prespatou
- Altona
- Peejay
- Osborn
- Nig Creek
- Murdale
Red Creek/Stoddart Creek Evacuation Alert #4 is now inclusive of the properties that were previously under an evacuation Order. There are also some properties that that are no longer under Evacuation Alert according to officials.
Areas previously under Evacuation Order and are now under Evacuation Alert #4 are in the northern sections of Charlie Lake (north of Highway 29 and south of mile 62 1/2, which includes the following communities:
- North Pine
- Pineview
- Northern sections of Charlie Lake (North of Highway 29 and 246 Road)
The Red Creek/Stoddart Creek Evacuation Alert has been cancelled for the southern sections of Charlie Lake, including the following communities:
- Cecil Lake
- Goodlow
- Baldonnel
- Two Rivers
- Bear Flats
BC Wildfire Service suggested the change to boundaries of the Red Creek/Stoddart Evacuation Order because of changes in fire activity.
