Rotary's Mother's Day Run raises $15,000 for Women's Resource Society

Jen Pimm’s surprise said it all over the lunch hour on Thursday, when the Rotary Club of Fort St John presented her with a cheque for $15,662 in support of the Women’s Resource Society.

The funds were raised from Rotary’s 7th annual Mother’s Day Run in May, and Pimm responded with an audible gasp when the ceremonial cheque and fundraising total was unveiled.

"Oh my goodness," said Pimm, noting the funds will go a long in helping the society serve its high number of clients.

“This money stays in the community. We really appreciate it.”
