The second edition of the Seniors We Wish You Well Parade took place April 28, with close to 30 groups of participants riding the short loop around the North Peace Seniors Housing Society.
This time there was even more decorations and cheers from the participants, and more smiling faces from residents and staff out enjoying the parade or watching from their windows.
"Sabrina (Trobak) and I are really happy with the turnout yesterday. People really took it up a notch this time with balloons and posters, and it's heartwarming for us to be a part of something that everyone is enjoying," said Jodi Kramer, who has organized the parades with Trobak.
This week's parade saw a lot of vehicles participate that weren't in the first one, and Kramer was pleased to see that word of the parade is spreading. The Fort St. John Fire Department took part this time, and the Salvation Army did as well, collecting donations for the food bank.
"All the seniors seem to be really enjoying it and are already looking forward to the next one," said Kramer.
The next parade is set for Wednesday, May 13, at 2 p.m. There could potentially be a fourth parade on May 27, depending on whether public health regulations and protocols are lifted.
