South Peace Snowfall Warning

Up to 10 centimetres is forecast for both sides of the border
weather warning

The South Peace, including on the Alberta side, could see its first real sign of winter this season.

Environment Canada has issued snowfall warnings for Dawson Creek, Chetwynd, and the Grande Prairie regions with up to 10 centimetres forecast.

“Snow is expected to begin this morning and continue into Saturday morning, with the heaviest snow expected this evening,” said a statement from the weather agency issued earlier this morning.

Here is the latest forecast for the South Peace:

Today..Cloudy. Periods of snow beginning late this afternoon. Snow  near the Rockies early this afternoon. Amount 2 cm near Tumbler Ridge. High plus 2.

Tonight..Periods of snow. Amount 5 cm except 10 cm near Tumbler  Ridge. Wind north 20 km/h gusting to 40. Low minus 9. Wind chill  minus 7 this evening and minus 15 overnight.

Saturday..Periods of snow. Amount 2 cm except 4 cm near Tumbler  Ridge. Wind north 20 km/h gusting to 40. Temperature steady near  minus 11. Wind chill near minus 19.

Saturday night..Cloudy with 30 percent chance of flurries. Low minus 19.

Sunday..A mix of sun and cloud. High minus 17.

Sunday night..Cloudy periods. Low minus 21.

Monday..A mix of sun and cloud. High minus 18.

Monday night..Cloudy periods. Low minus 22.

Tuesday..A mix of sun and cloud. High minus 16.

Tuesday night..Cloudy periods. Low minus 22.

Wednesday..A mix of sun and cloud. High minus 12.
