Still time to sign up for 2019 Rotary Mother's Day Run

There are nearly 400 runners signed up to run and walk in support of Fort St. John moms and the Women's Resource Society this weekend — and more are most certainly welcome.

The 2019 Rotary Mother's Day Run is set for Sunday, May 12. There's room for up to 750 runners, but organizers say they'll be happy to hit 500.

Online registration ends Thursday at midnight. Organizers will still be taking registrations on Saturday, May 11, at Ernies from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and again on Sunday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

The 2018 run raised $15,600 for the Women’s Resource Society.

The 10-kilometre run begins at 10 a.m. at the Surerus fields, with a five-kilometre walk starting at 10:15 a.m.

A kids dash begins at 11:15, and a Rotary-sponsored pancake breakfast will follow the race and prize presentations.
