Fort St. John police are seeking public help identifying a group of suspected youth who broke into a local brewery last week.

In a news release, RCMP say an overnight break-in was reported at Mighty Peace Brewing on Wednesday, Jan. 18.

Surveillance video showed a group of four suspects smashing the brewery's front door around 12:30 a.m., and stealing about a dozen bottles of hard liquor before fleeing, police said.

“It is unknown if the fifth person in the photo (below) was an additional suspect or was a passerby,” Const. Chad Neustaeter said in a statement.

“Likely someone knows what these youth have done and is aware that they have come into a large quantity of liquor or may have heard them brag about what they did and how they obtained it.”

Anyone with information that can help the investigation is asked to call police at 250-787-8100.

Anonymous tips can be made through Crime Stoppers at by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or submitted online at www.northernbccrimestoppers.ca.
