B.C. Hydro is reporting a large power outage this morning covering an area northwest of Fort St. John.
According to the company's website, 1700 customers have been without electricity since 5:31 this morning.
At this point, there is no indication what is behind the outage.
The area affected includes a section of Fort St. John and Charlie Lake and extends out rural areas along Highway 29 including Bear Flat.
B.C. Hydro is investigating.
