Sheryl Jakubowski, Tyler Roblin, Ashley Roblin and Tao Yuen, 10, hold up strips of 'loonies' supporters purchased during their Loonie Mile held at the Pomeroy Sport Centre in 2016, which helped fund local athletes competing in the Special Olympics.

Special Olympic athletes in Fort St. John will take to the walking track Saturday for their annual Toonie K Fundraiser.

Supporters are encouraged to join them at the Pomeroy Sport Centre from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. as they lay their toonies out around the track and walk off their donations.

All funds being raised stay to support Special Olympic programs and athletes in the city.

A group of local bowlers were recently in Kamloops for the Special Olympics BC Winter Games, winning bronze in five-pin competition.
