Zero building permits issued in January

The city only sold a handful of sign and plumbing permits in January, a slow month for development activity at city hall.

No building permits were taken out for the month, down from the five permits with a construction value of $665,000 at the start 2018.

The city sold just five sign permits for $225, and three plumbing permits for housing renovations for $180.

Building inspectors carried out 59 inspections and nine site visits for the month.
