The City of Fort St. John has launched a new economic development tool it says will give local businesses, entrepreneurs, and investors access to a range of data to support their needs.
The Business and Investment Assistant will be updated regularly from sources including Statistics Canada, BC Stats, and the city, the city said in a news release Friday.
The tool will give businesses access to research on the local economy and workforce, advice on starting and growing their business, and contact information for resources and organizations that provide business supports.
“We are excited to launch the Business and Investment Assistant, which will provide useful data to our business community by helping to promote local advantages, share local insights, and drive economic development," economic development manager Jennifer Decker said in a statement.
"This suite of interactive economic development tools will be of interest to our existing businesses, as well as newcomers to the community by ensuring they have access to the data they need to research local opportunities."
